Located in a lovely coastal area of the Peninsula of Nicoya, this 45 hectate past cattle grazing land, sitting on gently rolling hills overhanging the Pacific Ocean was waiting, like so many farms in Costa Rica that have been disturbed over decades by abusive farming exploitation, to get its Nature rights back.

In 1993, that property was acquired with the sole purpose to reclaim and regenerate the land. We embarked in a very ambitious and exhilarating enterprise of master landscaping the entire property; planting well over 100,000 tree seedlings and ornamental plants representing more than 150 different species with a thorough though of integration of all necessary infrastructure, road access,water piping and tanks. Ten years later, a remarkable transformation has taken place, a new hospitable biotope and micro climate have been recreated, bringing back life and a soul to a site already endowed with great natural beauty, an unequivocal testimony of the great merit of applying nature conscious models of land development.

To our knowledge, this one of a kind experimental project is unique in Costa Rica. We sincerely deplore this sad state of affair. Through visual exposure and narration of our passion for nature, we trust this example may inspire many of the Nature lovers in us. Nature is generous in so many ways to those that give and it is truly the only precious and genuine treasure that everyone on this Earth is given to share. It really deserves to be cherished.
